Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Computer ScienceTecnológico de Monterrey，Monterrey, MexicoThe School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey invites applications for one Postdoctoral Fellow within the Research Group with Strategic Focus in Computational Models. The successful candidate will aim to create conditions for professionals of different profiles can incorporate specific technologies to novel application domains in Mexico. To create these conditions, it is expected to contribute in the development of scientific and technological components/enablers aligned to the FIWARE Platform, particularly to the FIWARE Data/Context management chapter, by applying Machine Learning solutions to large amounts of historical and live data (Big Data). Developed solutions, in combinations with existing FIWARE solutions, will be used to developed applications for Smart Cities and Internet of Things (IoT) scenarios.Several research groups in the world work on the definition of the Future Internet, including Internet of things, Cloud Computing, Big Data and knowledge of people and services. These pillars involve issues on which Mexico is increasing their development, particularly areas where Machine Learning is highly relevant in a transversal way, not only because of the importance of algorithms per se, but also for its implementation, validation and use, vis-à-vis the application and the computing environment in which it runs.
· Full-time one year, with possible extension to two years, depending on performance.

· PhD degree (or graduating) in Computer Science or related fields (preferably degree granted in 2012 or upwards)
· Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
· Good publication record and excellent technical writing and presentation skills in English
· Strong programming skills in C/C++/C#, Java, Matlab and/or R.
· Hands-on experience in the development and deployment of FIWARE components, Android and iOS apps, big data related systems, and cloud computing environments will be an added advantage
· Highly motivated, able to work independently, and a good team player
